Today is my first day of work!!! But before I tell you more about my work environment, let me tell you wat happened on my way to work. haha.
I work up at 7.15am this morning and happily ate my breakfast before I go to work. And little do I know, I walked out of my house without bringing cash out!!! My gosh! How am I going to eat my lunch with my colleagues??? But anyway, I still went ahead despite that. Then, I took bus 159 to my workplace. It was only a 5-10mins journey ride to work!!!! So fast right? but you know what? I stopped 2 stops earlier. Alamak!!! But I ended up seeing an atm nearby. haha
Then again, I happily walk towards the atm and withdraw $20. But I walk away after keeping my card! I had forgotten to collect my money!!!! I only remember I forgotten to collect when I am about to reach my workplace. But it was impossible for me to walk back that loooooooong distance and then walk to workplace again right. I just cant believe it!!! Am I really that clumsy??? And to make things worse, I was wearing my new heels, it was really hurting me. I had blisters all around my front feet. And i got to paste so many awful plasters on it. haiz.
Finally I reached my workplace. Inside of me was like half-dead, but obviously I never show out la. Because I am tired of all the walking and fed up with myself for being clumsy and I still got to suffer from the pain of my feet!
Soon, my In-Charge brought me around the office to introduce myself to other colleagues. There are only 3 females including me!!! The rest are males. I am the youngest, prettiest, and most special individual there. And my dress code is casual. I can even wear sandles, sport shoes and jeans to work! I going to do that tomorro. haha.
Okay, actually I am working in Akribis System Pte Ltd. Its a manufacturing company. Its a new company in this line for only a year+. So actually, I am learning with the company. I am the new sales administrator there helping out with the Purchase orders, Delivery orders, Tax invoices and etc in the future. I felt a sense of belonging there because they prepared a table for me, my email address is created and my desktop login name was already changed to freda before I came in. And also, an welcoming email was sent to everyone in the office early in the morning to inform all that I was joining the board. I was glad even though their system is a bit messy. And I am willing to contribute to this small but expanding company.
Because I had no money to eat for lunch, I stayed back in my office. Then later in the afternoon, knowing that I did not have lunch, my IC asked me to leave early for lesson to have my dinner at 5pm. But I told her I can leave at 5.30pm. It was so kind of her!
I thank God for giving me this job that I can learn from scratch and giving me a boss and In-Charge that are understanding and help towards my learning. :)
